Applicant Register
The applicants can register with Vertex Plans under their preferred local jurisdictions. They can apply for more than one local jurisdiction.

City Approve their account
The local jurisdiction will receive the notification of the applicant registration via email on real time and they can verify the applicant account; either approve or decline.

Apply for permits under city
Once the local jurisdiction approves the applicant account, they can start applying for permits under those jurisdictions and the project gets created.

City Verification
The local jurisdictions verifies the permit applied and assigns the project to the relevant plans examiner to proceed with the review.

Plan Review
The plans examiners review all the uploaded design documents and accordingly proceeds with the plan review. If any corrections need to be made, the plans examiner can update the comment which the applicants can view and update the designs documents and revise and resubmit.

Issue Permit
Once the plan review is “approved” and the permit payment is complete, the local jurisdiction issues a permit to start the work onsite.

Conduct Inspections
The applicant can apply for relevant inspections choosing the preferred date and time. The inspections will be done virtually, however, based on the need of the project, the inspections will be onsite as well.

Occupancy Certificate
Plan review is approved, inspections are passed, now the local jurisdiction can issue the certificate of occupancy allowing the house to be occupied, marking the completion of the project.

Inspection Module
Inspectors work from an iPad in the field, capturing photos, notes, and findings directly into reports that are automatically generated and distributed to applicants, no follow-up calls needed. For virtual inspections, connect office-based inspectors with on-site contractors in real time, with built-in geotagging, session recording, and automatic report distribution. Applicants can schedule, reschedule, or cancel inspections from their portal or via a login-free link, reducing inbound call volume and keeping the process accessible to all. Once the final inspection is passed, issue the Certificate of Occupancy digitally, directly from the system.
